AGX CIC (Completely in the Canal)
The CIC hearing aid is the smallest hearing aid available. The majority of the hearing aid extends into the ear canal and is less visible than the canal aid. It is custom-made and is appropriate for mild to moderate losses. Advantages include the cosmetic appeal of the small size and reduced feedback especially on the phone. Disadvantages include the susceptibility to ear wax and moisture problems and possibility of the occlusion effect (sounding like your head is in a barrel); discomfort in taking a deeper ear impression; no manual volume control.
